Del Bravo Imports is a company dedicated to the production and distribution of premium tequilas in the national and international market. We employ award winning “Masters of Distilling” premium tequilas from the state of Jalisco, Mexico. Tequila Peñasco represents quality, and is named for the famed beach town located in the Mexican State of Sonora, on the Sea of Cortez. Today, tequila is one of the fastest growing liquors in the world. An entire tequila culture is being developed not just in Mexico but all over the world. A greater quality of tequilas made of 100% blue agave are priced in the $30 to $50 dollar range. Most all tequilas priced under $20 dollars are mass produced and are made from a mix of agave plants. Plata Tequila
This is tequila in its purest form. Penasco Plata Tequila is our "silver" or "blanco" version, bottled
without aging and often considered the purest expression of the agave.
Reposado Tequila
Penasco Reposado is aged between 4 and 6 months in newly charred American oak barrels prior to bottling, giving the normally clear tequila a light color and cast. (Note that the great majority of tequila is aged in ex-bourbon casks suggesting that the new char will lead to heavier, oak-driven flavors more commonly associated with bourbon.) This is a tequila that’s perfect for Margaritas and other mixed drinks, as the slight amount of aging rounds and softens it.
Añejo Tequila
This is a sipping tequila, one that exhibits not only flavors of agave, but rich vanilla and floral aromas as well. Tequila Penasco Añejo has been aged between 14 and 16 months to deliver a tequila with a quality that will exceed your expectations.
Extra Añejo Tequila
It simply does not get any better than this. This Extra Añejo has been aged for over 3 years in charred American Oak casks. The nose is amazing. It has a silky feeling with a touch of almond. It's bronze color reveals the master deep heritage of its roots. The finish is incredible, like a fine cognac. This is one of the best extra añejos in the world.
Cristalino
An añejo or extra añejo tequila that has been filtered with activated charcoal in order to remove it's color and enhance its fruity and floral character. The result is a clear tequila, similar to a blanco, which also retains the taste and aroma profile of a tequila that has been barrel aged.
